If the phone is not working correctly, you may need to master reset it and also clear the cache partition. These two resets clear different parts of the phone storage. Unlike a master reset, wiping the cache partition does not delete your personal data. http://goo.gl/u7bciz
To wipe the cache partition, follow these steps:
- Turn off the device. http://goo.gl/u7bciz
- Press and hold both Volume Up and Volume Down keys at the same time.
- Press the Power key only until the phone vibrates once, then release only the Power key.
- Continue to hold the Volume up and Volume Down keys until the Android System Recovery screen appears. http://goo.gl/u7bciz
- Press the Volume Down key to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the Home(GB only) or Power(ICS only) key to select. http://goo.gl/u7bciz
- Make sure Reboot System Now is highlighted and press the Home (or Powerkey to reboot.
- Back up all data on the internal memory. See: Back up & restore
- Back up all necessary data that is on the internal memory.
- From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.

- Scroll to and tap Back up and reset.
- Tap Factory data reset.
- Tap Reset device.
- Tap Delete all.
- Back up all data on the internal memory.See Back up & restore

- Press the Power key only until the phone vibrates once, then release only the Power key.
- Continue to hold the Volume up and Volume Down keys until the Android System Recovery screen appears.
- Press the Volume Down key to highlight wipe data / factory reset.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume Down key to highlight Yes - Delete all user data.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Power key to reboot.
